WEATHER
Mid-July is an amazing time to explore two of California’s most breathtaking national parks. Expect warm, sunny days—perfect for hiking among giant sequoias and soaking in the epic views of Yosemite Valley.
🌡️ Daytime temperatures in these parks usually range from 75°F to 90°F (24°C to 32°C), with cooler temps in shaded forest areas and higher elevations.
🌙 Evenings can dip to around 50°F–60°F (10°C–15°C), so layers are your best friend.
☀️ The sun can be intense, so be sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
We’re hitting the road for a nature-filled adventure packed with fresh air, soul-filling views, and all the magic Sequoia and Yosemite have to offer.
CLOTHES
Layered Clothing: Mountain weather can be unpredictable! Mornings may start cool, afternoons warm up fast, and evenings cool down again—so layers are essential.
Jacket or Fleece: Yosemite mornings and Sequoia’s shady groves can feel brisk even in July. A cozy jacket or fleece will keep you comfortable.
Comfy Walking Shoes or Hiking Boots: We’ll be on trails and scenic walks, so make sure your shoes are made for exploring!
Hat & Sunglasses: The sun shines bright in the Sierra Nevada—protect your face and eyes with a wide-brim hat and sunnies.
Breathable, Lightweight Clothing: Go for natural or athletic fabrics that’ll keep you cool while hiking or relaxing outdoors.
Sportwear: Bring leggings, joggers, or hiking pants for active mornings or stretching under the redwoods.
Casual Outfit or Dress: Pack something easy and cute for our relaxed evenings or scenic photo stops.
Swimsuit: From alpine rivers to surprise hotel pools, it’s always smart to have one just in case!
